Blue Fusion Makes it in the Top Popular Places on b.places

Brussels Airlines has joined Second Life and wow they have a really exciting and creative way of showing off that they are here….. They have this fantastic HUD that allows you to see top rated, new and exciting places all from a well designed airplane that you wear on your screen….. the individual places are hand picked by the company to establish quality and design. Then the popularity is left up to the residents of SL to vote and be involved to help make the places rise on the charts based on the amount of votes received.

I am not sure if residents realized the value of a RL company coming into Second Life, but just as in real life there is a direct correlation to the success of SL in the future to companies having the ability to survive here. I have seen so many companies build big beautiful SIMs and leave them empty. They know how to get in SL and make a presence, but how do they engage, what are they doing to expose, learn, drive the technology, research, engage with the residence, hell even figure out how to use the search engine in SL.

Brussels Airlines is doing it right! They are engaging the residence of Second Life via the social entertainment in this media. If we do not have social, then what do we have but pretty cartoons and rezzing objects…. I have seen some others really doing it. Kelly Services investing in the Live Music industry in SL. there commitment to engage the residence of SL in a social surround Live Music Events, IBM via the technical community, Galveston and their resort like beaches. These are the companies that understand there is a value in the residences.

Martini in the Morning has finally gotten it….. they have a good thing in SL. A very strong and devoted following. They have engaged the clubs that play their stream and built social events around each place. Adding the human factor to the virtual world… I love it. We had them at the Blue Fusion it was a total success! Lots of fun, engaging people and energy and added listeners to Brad’s list…. I hope we did him proud!  Everyone loved having Martini and Morning avatars at the Blue!

Well there we are for my Saturday rambles…..
